Final decision to open schools will be on health grounds: Shafqat Mehmood
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood has said that while he personally wants educational institutions to reopen, the final decision will be based on health grounds.
Shafqat Mehmood said in a statement on Twitter that ministers of education and health will meet on Friday to review the coronavirus situation before students are asked to return to their institutions.
The Education Minister said that student health and well being will always be a top priority for the government.
The important meeting of the Ministers of Education and Health will be held on Friday, January 15. It will be chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood himself and will be attended by provincial education ministers and special health assistants.
