NEPRA notifies Rs1.06 per unit rise in power tariff

The decision will put additional burden of over Rs8 billion on consumers.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has notified Rs1.06 per unit increase in power tariff under the fuel adjustment mechanism for the months of October and November.
As per details, the increase in power tariff by the government will add an additional burden of Rs8.40 billion on power consumers.
77 paisa per unit hike in electricity tariff has been approved for the month of November while 29 paisa per unit hike for October’s fuel adjustment.
