Rain expected in Punjab, Kashmir other parts of country
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A strong westerly wave is present over northeastern parts of the country and likely to persist in upper parts of the country till Tuesday.
According to the meteorological department Rain (with snowfall over hills) is expected in northeast Punjab, Pothohar region, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
In the next 24 hours rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected in Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas while fog is likely in south Punjab at isolated places during morning hours. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Rain-thunderstorm occurred in Kashmir, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. Cold and dry weather prevailed over other parts of the country, while very cold in north Balochistan and northern areas.
Rainfall recorded in Anantnag 19mm, Jammu (City 12, Airport 11), Hajira 09, Srinagar (City 06, Airport 03), Garhi Dupatta, Kotli 05, Chakoti 04, Muzaffarabad (City, Airport 03), Barnala 03, Rawalakot 01 , Narowal 09, Sialkot (Airport 08, City 02), Gujranwala 06, Hafizabad, Murree 05, Mandi Bahauddin 01, Balakot 03, Kakul 01, Astore 01.
Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperature’s were recorded in Skardu -13°C, Leh, Gupis, Astore -12°C, Ziarat -10°C, Kalat -09°C, Quetta, Kalam, Bagrote -08°C, Gilgit -07°C, Zhob, Dalbandin -06°C, Parachinar -05°C and Dir -04°C.
