Govt likely to increase petrol price by Rs2.96 per litre

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal the government is likely to increase the prices of petroleum products from January 1.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the Petroleum Division seeking an increase in prices of petroleum products.
According to sources, the regulator’s summary has proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs2.96 per liter.
The sources further said that the government is considering raising the price of high speed diesel by Rs 3.12 per liter while it is also proposed to increase the price of kerosene and light diesel.
The finance ministry will announce the new prices tomorrow.
