Kiss of death: Covid-affected employee exacts unusual revenge against officer
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A KMC employee has gone to extreme lengths to get revenge after he was suspended from his job without pay. The employee, despite being covid-19 positive, entered office premises and hugged and kissed the Director HRM.
According to details, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) employee hugged HRM director Jamil Farooqi and kissed him on the cheek without first informing him of his diagnosis. He also went inside the Administrator’s Secretariat and met with other officers.
The employee revealed that he was affected by the virus after hugging and kissing the Director. Afterwards, panic spread like wildfire in the KMC head office, with officers quickly fleeing from their offices.
Senior Director HRM Jamil Farooqi said afterwards that the employee, Shehzar Anwar, was posted as Assistant Director Land Landhi and got suspended on October 5 following a corruption complaint. His salary was also withheld for not reporting to HRM, the Director told.
Jamil Farooqi said that Shehzar Anwar deceivingly entered the office and tried to approach me. “I will take legal action against Shehzad Anwar”, he said. The Director said that he had the virus four months prior but he will get retested after this episode.
