PDM Multan rally: Govt decides to file case for violation of Coronavirus SOPs
MULTAN (Dunya News) - The Punjab government has announced to file a case against the organizers and workers of the Pakistan Democratic movement (PDM) rally for violating Coronavirus SOPs and vandalism of government property in Multan.
This announcement was made by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Punjab in her press conference.
She said that PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman gave sticks to the workers for clashing with the police but the government acted consciously instead of enthusiastically.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that dealing with the Multan rally was a successful strategy of the government. The government worked patiently without inflicting a stab wound. The government strategically thwarted the opposition s conspiracy, she added.
She said that Maulana s workers wanted to attack the police. Where there is a collision, there is a risk of loss of life. Barriers were removed to avoid any tragedy. Police were given clear orders not to go into the confrontation. The government showed consciousness in return for enthusiasm.
Special assistant said that the Multan administration had refused to allow the meeting because of Coronavirus. However, government property was vandalized and set on fire by the opposition. Maulana Fazlur Rehman distributed sticks to his workers and issued instructions to fight with the police. This was not a political statement, we had information. The media reported that the government withdrew from the rally but this poisonous propaganda had nothing to do with reality.
Talking about the incident of arson during the Multan rally, she said that a case has been registered against former PML-N MPA Shahid on the complaint of the owner of the cardboard warehouse.
Investigations have revealed that Shahid, a former PML-N MPA, had set off fireworks. A fire broke out in a cardboard warehouse due to fireworks. The owner of the cardboard warehouse has become the plaintiff in the case.
Responding to the opposition s claim of success of the rally, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that nowadays there is a drone camera, which show more people if the video is recorded from above. This is the perfection of drones, opposition achieved nothing.
She mocked the PDM chief and said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman was sitting outside the assembly for the first time. Eating sweets from your own pocket is a very difficult task. We feel their pain.
Talking about the situation of Coronavirus in the province, she said that the world appreciated the Coronavirus policies of the Prime Minister. We are moving towards Coronavirus and Polio Free Punjab.
Giving a clear message to the opposition, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that governments do not fall through rallies.
Parliament can never be sacrificed. The government is not going home because of the threats of no-confidence motion. She announced that an FIR would be registered against the organizer of the Multan rally for violating the Coronavirus SOPs.
