Seventh round's opening day of Second XI Quaid-e-Azam Trophy disrupted by rain

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The overnight rain and wet conditions played a spoilsport on the opening day of the seventh round matches between Southern Punjab and Balochistan at TMC Cricket Ground, and Northern and Central Punjab at KCCA Ground in Karachi.

The toss could not be held in the two fixtures, while rain permitted only 44 overs of play at the National Bank Sports Complex in the match between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa v Sindh, NBP Sports Complex:

After being put into bat, Sindh managed 185 for five. Mohammad Taha, batting at four, top-scored with a 79-ball 63, which included eight boundaries.

Saad Khan was the other notable contributor with the bat as he scored 35 off 48 balls. Saad’s stay at the crease was studded with four boundaries.

The pair contributed 80 runs for the third wicket.

For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mohammad Sarwar Afridi took two wickets for 48 runs. Fahad Iqbal and Azizullah were at 29 and two respectively.

At the National Bank Sports Complex, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the toss and elected to field:
