Business community not upset with NAB measures: NAB Chairman
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has said the impression that the business community is disturbed by the NAB measures is not correct, NAB is fulfilling its national responsibility in accordance with the law.
According to details, a delegation of Pakistan Flour Mills Association called on the Chairman NAB and apprised him of the difficulties faced by the business community due to NAB operations.
Talking to the delegation, the NAB chairman said that all the tax cases of the business community have been sent to the FBR. Action has been stopped on the notices issued by NAB Multan to the owners of flour mills.
Chairman NAB said that out of 1210 references pending in the courts, not even 2% of the cases are from the business community. The business community has an important role to play in the country s economic development. The NAB has also held open hearings to timely resolve the complaints.
