Rallies do not make or break governments: Shah Mahmood
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the government is not afraid of rallies. Rallies do not make or break governments. There is no legal or moral justification for holding a rally following court and government orders.
According to details, Foreign Minister said in a statement that opposition should understand the sensitivity of the Coronavirus and should not risk human lives under the guise of politics.
He said that the government is aware of the precious human lives but the opposition is pursuing a policy of self-interest and wants to spread chaos in the country. The opposition s insistence on holding a rally is a reflection of their undemocratic thinking and irresponsible behavior, he added.
Shah Mahmood said all political parties, including the opposition, will have to follow SOPs with regard to coronavirus. Opposition should not play politics but show responsibility.
He alleged that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif harmed the country by not appointing a foreign minister for four years.
Foreign Minister said the future of Pakistan and the region is linked to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). We will work with China to protect CPEC.
He said that we also intended to expand bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan through a visit to Kabul.
