No decision on school closures in Sindh

KARACHI (Dunya News) – No final decision has been taken regarding closure of schools in Sindh during a level meeting of provincial education department.
A meeting of Steering Committee of Sindh Education Department was held under the chair of Education Minister Saeed Ghani. Representatives of private schools association were also present.
Saeed Ghani said that Centre has asked to close schools for winter vacations from December 25 to January 10 and proposal regarding online classes and homework was also tabled by the federal government.
He further said that it was decided that after consultation with all provinces a consensus will be reached by November 23. Purpose of today’s meeting was to consult relevant stake holders, he added.
