Karachi police declares desecration case against Capt (r) Safdar as 'fake'
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Police have addressed the objections of the prosecution and submitted the final challan of Capt (retd) Safdar’s case in court. After investigation, police has declared that the case of chanting slogans in Mazar-e-Quaid by Capt (r) Safdar is fake.
In today’s Karachi City Court hearing of desecration case against Captain (retd) Safdar, Police removed the prosecution’s objections and submitted the final challan to the city court.
Police have declared the case as false after investigation. According to the challan, call data record of the plaintiff shows that he was not present at Quaid’s mausoleum at the time of the incident.
The plaintiff is not present in the CCTV footage of the mausoleum either. Police have dropped the charges of damaging property and making death threats.
It is important to note that the mausoleum had been closed off for public during Maryam Nawaz’s visit.
