Pakistan saw highest inflation among South Asian countries: report
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - According to the Sustainable Development Organization’s comparative inflation statistics, Pakistan has the highest inflation among South Asian countries.
According to the organization’s statistics, the inflation rate in Pakistan is 9% while it is 7.34% in India, 5.97% in Bangladesh and 4.1% in Sri Lanka.
The price of flour in Pakistan is 68 PKR per kg, 28 INR in India, 41 takka in Bangladesh and 93 Sri Lankan rupees in Sri Lanka. The rate of onions in Pakistan is PKR 80, INR 50 in India, 40 takka in Bangladesh and 150 Sri Lankan rupees in Sri Lanka.
Moreover, the price of sugar in Pakistan is PKR 105 while in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, it is priced at INR 55, 70 takka and 85 Sri Lankan rupees respectively.
