ALASKA (Dunya News) – A godwit bird has set a world record for the longest uninterrupted flight for 12,200 kilometers in 11 days.
According to details, the bird was followed by a team of scientists with the help of a 5gm satellite tag that was placed on its lower back. With an average speed of 55 miles/hour, the bird started its flight from Alaska on September 16 and arrived in Auckland after 11 days.
Earlier, a female shorebird had covered a distance of 11,680 kilometers without any stop in 2007.
