PDM Quetta rally will be held in any case: Fazl-ur-Rehman

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Head of Pakistan Democratic Movement and Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that the Quetta rally will be held in any case.

According to details, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said inflation and unemployment have forced people to come out. We have to send home this incompetent government. It is an illegitimate and incompetent government that has been imposed. If the grievances and cries of the people do not reach the government, then they are deaf.

He said that there is no threat regarding PDM rally in Quetta, even if there is, we will still hold rally in Quetta. The absence of any leader will not affect the PDM alliance, we have no personal agenda, the government has been showing incompetence for 2 years, he added.

Fazl-ur-Rehman further said that if there is any threat in Quetta, then it is the responsibility of the government to deal with it. The Quetta rally will be held in any case, if the government cannot provide security, then it should go home.

It may be recalled that the next rally of the anti-government opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is scheduled to be held on October 25 in Quetta, to which the central leadership of the PDM will address.

The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA) has issued a threat alert for a terrorist attack in Quetta, warning that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has planned terrorist attacks in Peshawar and Quetta.

NCTA said that terrorists have planned to target political and religious leaders with suicide bombings.
