PML-N demands Army Chief for probe into raid on Maryam's room
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has demanded Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa for investigations into the incident of raid on Maryam Nawaz s room.
A statement issued by PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzib said that the incident with Maryam Nawaz was reprehensible. I request the Army Chief that in this inquiry, the attack on Maryam Nawaz s room should also be investigated.
She said that if Maryam Nawaz is not safe then how can the daughters and women of Pakistan be safe.
On the other hand, Rana Sanaullah has said that it is unconstitutional to arrest Captain (retd) Safdar by breaking the door of his room. The Constitution of Pakistan gave everyone the right of privacy.
Meanwhile, the PPP has apologized to Maryam Nawaz for the arrest of Captain (retd) Safdar.
Nafisa Shah has said that the Karachi incident has strengthened the PDM s statement. Where was the Prime Minister during this incident, she asked.
PPP leader Palwasha Khan said that the Prime Minister s complete silence on the Karachi incident was raising many questions. Karachi will respond only after the investigation report of the incident.
