Mehwish Hayat, HSY become part of Oscar Selection Committee

Chaired by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, the committee will also include director Asadul Haq.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Popular actor Mehwish Hayat and Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, popularly known as HSY, have become part of Oscar Selection Committee 2020.
Mehwish Hayat took to twitter to confirm the news, “I’m honoured to be part of the ‘Oscar Selection Committee’ this year alongside our own two time Oscar winner, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. I look forward to seeing the nominated films. At least this is one way we can highlight our country and our talent on world stage IA”.

On the other hand, designer HSY, also announced the news on his twitter followed by other social media platforms. “Humbled and proud to be part of the Oscar committee for 2020. The committee will be chaired by two-time Academy Award and Emmy winning documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and includes Film Director Asad-ul-Haq, Actor Mehwish Hayat and Musician Faisal Kapadia.," he wrote.
