White car with missing bonnet allegedly caused van accident near Nooriabad killing 15
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The cause of the van accident on M-9 Motorway near Karachi was allegedly a white Cultus car. Twenty-four hours later, footage of a car without a bonnet has surfaced.
A passenger van coming from Hyderabad to Karachi had a terrible accident on Saturday evening. According to investigators, the bonnet of the cultus car traveling on M-9 had blown up and hit the van, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire.
Motorway police have traced the vehicle that allegedly caused the accident. Shortly after the crash, CCTV footage of a white Cultus car crossing a toll plaza with its bonnet missing surfaced.
Authorities are gathering information about the owners of the vehicles which can be seen in the footage, appear to be parked to pay toll tax at toll plaza.
Fourteen unidentified bodies of those killed in the tragic incident have been shifted from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to Edhi morgue.
All the bodies will be handed over to the next of kin after DNA report. Another person injured in the crash died during treatment at the Burn Ward. The dead man was identified as 25-year-old Abdul Rashid son of Hussain Gul, bringing the death toll to 15.
