PML-N suspends party membership of Jaleel Ahmed for criticizing Nawaz's narrative

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has suspended party membership of Jaleel Ahmed Sharaqpuri for criticizing Nawaz Sharif s speech in the All Parties Conference (APC).

According to details, PML-N has demanded a reply from Jaleel Ahmed Sharaqpuri member of Punjab Assembly within seven days. If the reply is not submitted the Election Commission will be approached and a reference will be filed against him.

Earlier PML-N member Punjab Assembly Mian Jaleel Ahmed Sharaqpuri had rejected party leader Nawaz Sharif’s narrative, calling it ‘Anti-Pakistan’.

Jaleel Sharaqpuri criticized Nawaz for his speech in the APC and said that it was against the country’s national interest.

He further said that a large number of patriotic Pakistanis, including him, categorically distance themselves from Nawaz’s negative stance. The Armed Forces of Pakistan are ready to sacrifice their all for the sake of national security, he added.

The PML-N MPA said that Nawaz Sharif’s statement of the army interfering in political affairs was tantamount to strengthening the enemy’s propaganda. The PML-N leadership spoke for India and Narendra Modi through the APC forum and social media channels.

He said that he and many other PML-N members have nothing to do with such anti-national statements.
