PM approves in principle upgradation of Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Road: Asim Bajwa

Asim Bajwa said highest number of accidents is reported on this road due to its condition.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority (CPECA) Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa Wednesday said Prime Minister Imran Khan has in principle approved upgradation of Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Road to Expressway.

Asim Saleem Bajwa took to Twitter and said Balochistan’s 790-kilometer most frequented road is peoples’ pressing need as highest number of accidents is reported on it due to its condition. He said these areas were neglected earlier.

The CPECA chairman also shared ad for hiring for feasibility (technical + commercial) study and detailed design for dualization and rehabilitation of Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Road on build operate transfer (BOT) basis under public private partnership (PPP) modality.
