Involving a fugitive in politics is a mockery of our institutions: Babar Awan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member and advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan has said that involving a fugitive in political activities by the opposition is a mockery of Pakistan’s institutions.

Reacting to PPP Chairman Bilawal Zardari’s invitation to ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to attend the All Parties Conference (APC) on September 20, Babar Awan termed the online speech a political ploy.

He said that the revolution through online speeches would not go beyond lip-service. He also called Nawaz’s attitude of ‘fit for politics, unfit for the court’ hypocritical.

Babar Awan said that the disqualified, wanted and fugitive Nawaz Sharif will further destroy the opposition’s politics. Nawaz Sharif’s status is nothing more than a convicted criminal. Making a fugitive a part of political activities is a mockery of the institutions, he added.
