Mother of two raped, robbed of valuables on motorway
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A mother of two children was looted and raped at gunpoint on motorway near Gujjar Pura area of the Punjab metropolis.
Sana was reportedly travelling in a car along with her two children when it developed some fault near Gujjar Pura.
Some unknown accused overpowered her when she came out of the vehicle. After molesting and robbing her of valuables and cash (1 lakh), they escaped.
On receipt of the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the woman to a hospital.
The police said the process to identify the accused through the Safe City cameras was underway.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, taking notice of the incident, immediately demanded a report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab and said that the culprits involved in this heinous crime should be arrested as soon as possible.
