Customs recovers smuggled goods worth millions in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - Customs Directorate Intelligence and Investigation Hyderabad in an operation recovered smuggled goods worth more than Rs23.9 million from a truck.

According to Deputy Director Customs Syed Mohammad Raza, during a joint operation of Special Investigation Unit and Anti-Smuggling Organization, a suspicious truck was searched near Qazi Ahmed in Shaheed Benazirabad district.

From which 550 branded mobile phones and 2320 readymade garments were recovered. The goods were being smuggled from Faisalabad to Karachi. A case of the incident has been registered and interrogation of the arrested driver has been started.
