Paul Jones lauded Pakistan's role in Afghan peace process and for peace and stability in the region.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that promotion of Pakistan-US ties is imperative for ensuring peace and stability in the region, including the Afghan peace process.
He said this in his meeting with US Charge de Affairs Paul Jones who paid a farewell call on the Foreign Minister in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The foreign minister thanked the US diplomat for the timely US assistance to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Paul Jones lauded Pakistan s role in Afghan reconciliatory process and for peace and stability in the region.
Meanwhile, FM Qureshi said that Pakistan wants to further expand its bilateral relations with Indonesia.
Talking to outgoing Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan Suyudhie Amri in Islamabad on Wednesday, he emphasized on further promoting bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including defence and commerce.
The foreign minister thanked Indonesia for playing its positive role in a debate held in UN Security Council on Kashmir.
The outgoing Ambassador lauded Pakistan s role in successfully overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.
