IHC dismisses plea seeking Shahzad Akbar's removal as special assistant

PM has authority to appoint anyone he wants as his advisor, the judge said.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday has dismissed a plea seeking removal of Shahzad Akbar from the post of special assistant to the Prime Minister (PM) on accountability and interior. During the hearing, Chief Justice of IHC Athar Minallah has declared the petition inadmissible, saying that the claimant has failed to satisfy the court with authentic reason for demanding to sack the special assistant.

PM has authority to appoint anyone he wants as his advisor, the judge added.
