LAHORE (Dunya News) - After criticism from Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry on former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s departure to London, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that Fawad Chaudhry is not a medical doctor, there are many things he does not know.
To recall, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, while responding to a statement of Dr Yasmin Rashid, said that she is a gynecologist but Nawaz’s ailment had nothing to do with gynecology, therefore, Yasmin Rashid should also be investigated.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News program ‘On the Front’, the provincial health minister said that Nawaz Sharif’s medical report can be investigated 100 times, she has no qualms with it. She said that Fawad Chaudhry is not a doctor, it will be difficult for him to understand the report. Fawad should know that I read the reports as the Minister of Health, she added.
During the program, Yasmin Rashid said that her stance on Nawaz Sharif’s medical reports has not changed, all test samples are safe with Dr Riaz Mahmood and all the work was done under the supervision of professors.
She further said that the former Prime Minister is a long time heart patient. A medical board was set up on his illness while he remained in hospital for 14 days. When he arrived at the hospital, his platelet count was low. His blood samples were taken under the supervision of senior doctors, she added.
