Coronavirus kills 14 Pakistanis, infects 626 in one day

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 14 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 287,299. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,153, Dunya News reported on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 626 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.

Province-wise Details

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 125,289 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 94,993 in Punjab, 35,021 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12,062 in Balochistan, 15,324 in Islamabad, 2,426 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,167 in Azad Kashmir.

Furthermore 2,307 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,180 in Punjab, 1,236 in KP, 138 in Balochistan, 173 in Islamabad, 59 in Azad Kashmir and 60 in GB.

Tests and Recoveries

Pakistan has so far conducted 2,229,409 coronavirus tests and 23,745 in last 24 hours. 265,215 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 774 patients are in critical condition.
