Peace in Afghanistan will pave way for peace and stability in region: FM Qureshi

The two leaders discussed peace and stability in the region and the Afghan peace process.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday said that peace in Afghanistan will pave the way for peace and stability in the entire region.

He said this in his meeting with Special Representative of the Prime Minister for Afghanistan Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq who called on him at the Foreign Ministry.

The two leaders discussed peace and stability in the region and the Afghan peace process. Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood was also present in the meeting.

The special representative for Afghanistan gave a detailed briefing to the foreign minister on the ongoing situation of Afghan peace process.

On the occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that holding inter-Afghan talks would help establish a lasting and lasting peace in Afghanistan.

He said that peace in Afghanistan would pave the way for peace and stability in the entire region, adding that Pakistan will continue to play its reconciliatory role for peace and stability in the region, including the Afghan peace process.
