NAB summons former Principal Secretary to CM Punjab today in liquor license case

LAHORE (Dunya news) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has again summoned former principal secretary to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, Dr. Raheel Ahmed Siddiqui in a case of issuance of liquor license to a hotel in violation of the law.
Dr Raheel, in his earlier statement, claimed that Chief Minister Office and Excise Department did not hand over record despite repeated requests.
On the other hand, former DG Excise, in his statement to NAB yesterday, has claimed that he informed the Chief Minister Office that issuance of the liquor license will be against the policy and rules as NOCs were not complete. However, approved the license on the request of then Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Raheel Ahmed Siddiqui.
