Maryam Nawaz to appear before NAB today

NAB has summoned Maryam Nawaz in a case pertaining to 200 acres of land.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz will appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.

According to details the workers of the PML-N will go in a convoy with Maryam Nawaz from Jati Umrah to the NAB office.

The PML-N leadership has completed consultations on legal matters and this has been decided that Maryam Nawaz will appear before the NAB and present her position.

Senior PML-N leaders have directed the party workers to reach Jati Umrah at 9.30 am. Party leaders and a large number of workers will also accompany Maryam Nawaz in a convoy from Raiwind Jati Umrah to the NAB office.

The anti-graft watchdog had directed the PML-N leader to appear before the bureau in a case pertaining to illegal transfer of 200 acres of land in Raiwind.

The property was transferred in the name of Maryam Nawaz in 2014 whereas 100 kanals each were transferred to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and erstwhile Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif – father and uncle of Maryam.

It has been learnt that the rules and regulations of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) were ignored while transferring the lands. Furthermore, the property was declared as green land to stop construction around the Sharif family’s terrain.
