PM Imran Khan holds meeting ahead of upcoming by-elections
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting in Bani Gala on Wednesday, where he concluded the preliminary consultation regarding by-elections in Punjab.
According to sources, the meeting deliberated on the list of proposed candidates, strategy for the election campaign and other issues. The meeting was chaired by Imran Khan and was attended by Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar, Ejaz Chaudhry, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Special Assistant to PM Usman Dar.
The Governor Punjab conveyed his views to the Prime Minister while Fawad Chaudhry and Usman Dar also presented their respective suggestions. Ejaz Chaudhry presented a report regarding the Punjab by-elections to the Prime Minister.
Sources said that a report on preparations for by-elections in NA-75 Daska and PP-51 Wazirabad constituencies was also submitted to the Prime Minister. The nomination of candidates will be decided by the Prime Minister himself on the basis of party recommendations. Members of National Assembly Farrukh Altaf and Fayyaz ul Hassan Shah also attended the meeting.
