Coronavirus cases reduced by 90pc in Punjab due to Govt policies
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Government policies have reduced coronavirus cases significantly in Punjab and only 47 confirmed and 18 suspected patients are undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals in Lahore. The number of serious patients has also dropped by 89%.
The ventilator occupancy rate in ICUs of government hospitals in Lahore has come down to only 11%. There are no patients in the ICU of 9 government hospitals in the city.
Out of 50 ventilators of Mayo Hospital, 44 are empty while 6 patients are undergoing treatment. Jinnah Hospital has 12 out of 15 free ventilators while 3 patients are undergoing treatment.
Services Hospital has 27 out of 32 ventilators empty while 5 have patients. In PKLI, 19 out of 20 are vacant while one is undergoing treatment. In addition, out of 20 ventilators of the General Hospital, 16 are empty while 4 patients are undergoing treatment.
However, the government has made it clear that the coronavirus has not yet been completely eradicated, with only a significant reduction in cases. The second wave of coronavirus can be prevented by taking precautions.
