Female artists raise voice for Kashmir, record message on Youm-e-Istehsal
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prominent personalities from Pakistani media industry have recorded their heart touching message in solidarity with occupied Kashmir people on the first anniversary of Indian illegal action of scrapping the special constitutional status of the valley. In an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) promo, actresses including Laila Zuberi, Noor Bukhari and Reema narrated some emotional poetic verses and highlighted the importance of freedom for Kashmiri people who are suffering from atrocities of Indian forces for decades. Singers Hadiqa Kiani, Naheed Akhtar and Shabnum Majeed also participated in recording the video and said that one thing that oppressor has forgotten is ‘I am Kashmiri’.

Meanwhile, famous journalist Asma Sherazi can also be seen pledging, “My blood is Muslim, strength is Kalma, Go India! leave my valley. We will continue to raise voice for independence.” It is to be mentioned here that the people on both sides of Line of Control (LoC) are observing Youm-e-Istehsal today (August 5) to mark the one year of India move to scrap special status of Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
One minutes silence was observed in the morning to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.
Since the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution in August, last year, the Modi-led fascist Indian government continues to adhere to the policy of coercion, torture and deception to undermine the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir by changing its demography.
