SOPs must be followed to prevent Coronavirus: NDMA chairman

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lt. Gen. Muhammad Afzal has called for implementation of rules and regulations for the prevention of coronavirus.

According to details, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Afzal, chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority, said that the coronavirus situation has improved as a result of wise steps taken by the government and the death toll from the epidemic has dropped dramatically.

Talking to reporters in Islamabad, he called for implementation of rules and regulations to curb the coronavirus epidemic. He said the government has set up 3,000 more beds connected to the oxygen supply facility.

Lt. Gen. Muhammad Afzal said that there is an abundance of ventilators available in Pakistan at present while there is a stock of more than seven lakh protective devices and about one hundred and forty one laboratories are testing Corona.
