Public advised to properly dispose off animal remains over flight safety concerns on Eid-ul-Azha
(Dunya News) – Paksitan Air Force (PAF)’s Directorate of Flight Safety has issued a public service message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha to spread awareness about safe disposal of sacrificial animal offals and remains.
It states that the carcasses and remains of sacrificial animals dumped near PAF Bases can attract a large number of big as well as small birds, making them a potential hazard to PAF aircrafts and aircrew, especially during take-off and landing.
Accidental bird strikes can cause emergency situations, damaging the aircraft as well as causing loss of precious lives and property on ground.
The statement also urges the people to pack the animal offal and leftovers in garbage bags and dispose them at the designated places.
