He said any unanimous decision of APC including mid-term election will be implemented.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday said that his party would stand by the joint opposition’s decision including holding mid-term elections.

Talking to media along with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who called on him in Lahore, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has put the general public in difficulties, adding that the people were on the same page against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

The PPP chairman also condemned politics on the health condition of Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif. It is unfortunate to do politics on someone’s heath, he said.

Bilawal further said that the opposition is on the same page, adding that PM Imran Khan will have to go now. "Any unanimous decision of All Parties Conference (APC) including mid-term election will be implemented," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, JUI-F chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman said that he will bring all the political parties on one page, adding that the opposition’s Rehbar Committee will formulate proposals after Eidul Azha.

“The proposals of the Rehbar Committee will be presented in the All Parties Conference (APC),” he said.

The JUI-F chief went on to say that the mandate of a common citizen was stolen during the last general elections of 2018. “The state survival has come under question due to the performance of incumbent PTI government for last two years,” Fazl said, pointing out that they would resume country’s economy soon after the departure of Imran Khan.

It is pertinent here to mention that Shehbaz Sharif, after holding a meeting with Fazal-ur-Rehman, had on Monday announced to convene an All Parties Conference (APC) of the opposition after Eid-ul-Azha.

The PML-N president said that getting rid of the government is need of the hour as country is being ruled by illegitimate and incompetent people. He added that inflation has skyrocketed in last two years and massive increase in petrol prices is an example of incumbent government’s bad governance.

While lashing out at government over flour crisis, Shehbaz Sharif had said that flour provided by government is not edible and people are forced to buy expensive flour. Wheat shortages are everywhere, while sugar prices are also surging, he added.
