Rooster from Ghotki gambling ring denied bail
GHOTKI (Web Desk) – A rooster that was found, and for some reason arrested, during a raid on a gambling den has been denied bail from a local Ghotki court while the criminals running the gambling joint have been granted bail.
A local news channel reported that the rooster, used for cockfighting, was found during a police raid eight months ago and was confiscated as evidence against the criminals. The rooster was put behind bars and is being produced at all hearings of the case against the gamblers.
The arrested men were granted bail by the court but interestingly, the rooster was denied its right to freedom and remains in police custody despite the criminals seeking its bail as well.
