CTD apprehends five terrorists linked to banned outfit in Karachi

They were planning to target religious personalities, security forces

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday apprehended at least five terrorists of a proscribed organisation in Karachi.

As per the details, on a tip off, the CTD carried out an operation in Golimar area of the metropolis and detained five terrorists of belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

According to the CTD officials, the arrested terrorists were involved in various criminal activities including target killing. Weapons and hit list were also recovered from the possession of terrorists.

The officials further said that terrorists revealed involvement in more than six incidents of targeted killings and activation of four other teams.

They were planning to target religious personalities, security forces and others.
