President directs strict implementation of SOPs during Eid-ul-Adha
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Dr Arif Alvi has directed all the provinces to ensure strict implementation of SOPs during Eid-ul-Adha and Muharram.
According to details, President Dr Arif Alvi visited the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) where he was briefed on various steps taken against the outbreak.
The meeting was chaired by the President and was attended by Asad Umar, Fakhar Imam, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Dr. Zafar Mirza, Chairman NDMA Lt General Muhammad Afzal and Surgeon General Pakistan Lt General Nigar Johar.
Federal Minister Asad Umar and Major General Asif Mehmood Goraya briefed the President on the steps taken to improve the health system including provision of beds, medicines and equipment for coronavirus patients in hospitals.
President Arif Alvi appreciated the steps taken by NCOC to tackle the coronavirus pandemic and directed all provinces to ensure implementation of SOPs during Eid-ul-Adha and Muharram. He said that an awareness campaign should also be launched on guidelines for preventing further spread of the virus.
