ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that the moon has been born scientifically, if there were clouds, how the moon could be sighted.
In Dunya News program ‘Dunya Kamran Khan kay Sath’ Reacting to the sighting of Zilhaj moon, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology said that, they said that the moon was not visible due to the clouds. If there are clouds, how will the moon be visible?
He said that technology is ‘halal’ or ‘haraam’ scholars should decide this first, prayers can be offered by looking at the clock, then why the moon cannot be sighted by technology.
Fawad Chaudhry further said that from a scientific point of view, the moon has been sighted.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry had said in a statement on social networking site Twitter that the moon of Zilhaj would be sighted in Karachi and other areas today.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the moon of Zilhaj 1441 Hijri has been born, the moon has been born at 10:33 pm, in case of clouds, download the Ruet app and see the exact location, he added.
While talking in the program ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’ in response to a question about National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he said that if NAB wants to make a new law then there should be a basic common agenda. The National Accountability Bureau was set up by Nawaz Sharif in the 1990s, and all the cases are from the same era.
In the program, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology said that other cases would not be affected by the Supreme Court observation, there is a background to the observation about the NAB. The Supreme Court s decision on NAB will have no legal effect.
Fawad Chaudhry further said that we have no personal enmity with any of them, we just want the cases to reach a logical conclusion, those who are accused should be punished.
