Precautionary measures need to be implemented during Eid-ul-Adha: FM Qureshi
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that during Eid-ul-Adha, the country needs to ensure implementation of precautionary measures against Covid-19 so that we can better cope with the pandemic challenge.
He expressed these views while talking to Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood and Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar during a meeting at the Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the coronavirus situation in the country and issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The three ministers also held detailed consultations on August 5 to highlight the long drawn curfew in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the persistent human rights violations. The overall political situation in the country was also discussed during the meeting.
On the occasion, the Foreign Minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s smart lockdown policy was being appreciated all over the world. Despite Pakistan’s limited resources, the government has taken effective measures to stem the spread of the virus, with positive results, he added.
