Karachi police uncovers large terrorist network

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Karachi police, in a timely operation, uncovered a large terrorist network foiling a major terror plot planned for the city.

Talking to media in Karachi, SSP West Fida Hussain Janwari said that West Zone Police has infiltrated and exposed a large network of terrorists. In total, six terrorists were arrested by the police.

The SSP said that the arrested terrorists were being funded by R&AW and they had been involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies in Balochistan. They were also involved in attacks on Levies check posts.

According to the official, the accused used to take instructions from Indian intelligence agency R&AW which was behind the attack on the Chinese consulate as well as the Pakistan stock exchange attack.

He said that three Kalashnikovs, five grenades, six IEDs and other weapons were recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
