KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar arrived at Karachi’s Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Saturday along with Mayor Wasim Akhtar to inspect COVID-19 facilities.
Asad Umar visited the coronavirus ward and examined treatment quality. Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) medical and health services senior director Dr Birbal Genani and Wasim Akhtar gave briefing to the federal minister.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader talked to media and said the government is working to improve the provision of oxygen and other facilities. The federation will provide full support to counter the pandemic, he assured.
On the other hand, doctors encircled Asad Umar outside the hospital over non-issuance of salaries and health risk allowance. Rangers and police officials escorted the minister safely from the vicinity.
