Sindh's decision to not collect taxes tantamount to rebellion against constitution: Haleem Adil

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that the Sindh government’s decision to not collect taxes for the federation is equivalent to rebelling against the constitution.

Haleem Adil Sheikh said that PPP government in Sindh has all the rights to do politics but not to commit treason against the constitution.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, the PTI leader said that according to multiple articles of the Constitution including Article 73, taxation is still under the federation, even after the 18th amendment.

He said that due to coronavirus, tax collection was reduced across the country, which is why the money for provinces was reduced but no province except Sindh objected to this.

He said that pilots with suspicious licenses were recruited in many airlines, including PIA, during the Nawaz and Zardari regimes and now they are trying to shift the blame from themselves.
