Anti-corruption arrests three-member group involved in fake marriages
PAKPATTAN (Dunya News) - Anti-corruption has caught a three-member gang involved in looting people through fake marriages.
According to details the accused group used to persuade naive people to get married, the female member of the gang would become the bride, the accused would loot and flee the very next day of the marriage.
Deputy Director Anti-Corruption Rana Fawad Ahmad said that the accused used to cheat people in the villages by marrying them, a female member of the gang used to become the bride of the victim.
He said that the suspects used to loot cash, gold jewelery and valuables and flee the very next day of the marriage. The second member of the group was marriage registrar and the third was a witness, he added.
The Deputy Director Anti-Corruption said that the accused were wanted in three fake marriage cases.
