Jahangir Tareen, Asad Umar, Qureshi’s quarrel harmed the party: Fawad Chaudhry

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said in an interview that the party’s in-fighting has pushed out the politicians and ushered in the bureaucracy. He said that our promise of ‘Change’ could not be realized because of our own shortcomings.

According to details, in an interview to an American broadcaster, Fawad Chaudhry has opened a new Pandora’s Box regarding the country’s politics, claiming that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf’s internal strife has hurt the government. He said that PM Imran Khan has warned the cabinet that if it fails to deliver in the next six months, things will change very drastically.

Fawad said that due to the clashes between Jahangir Tareen, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Umar, politicians have gotten sidelined in the government while the political vacuum has been filled by new faces having nothing to do with politics. Advisors to the PM are making important decisions and all the politicians can do is watch, he added.

He claimed that Jahangir Tareen got Asad Umar removed from the Finance Ministry, and when Asad Umar returned, he took care of Jahangir Tareen. The Minister said that meetings were also held between Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen but the matter could not be resolved.
