Punjab possesses abundant reserves of wheat: CM Buzdar

CM Buzdar chaired a meeting to examine steps taken to maintain stability in flour and wheat prices.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Tuesday chaired a meeting to examine the steps taken to maintain stability in flour and wheat prices in the province.
The session deliberated on different options to release wheat to flour mills and decided to take approval from the cabinet regarding the release and final price.
Usman Buzdar said Punjab possesses abundant reserves of wheat and the provincial regime will take every step for stability in market rates. Likewise, decision will be taken after analyzing every possible option to stabilize flour price, he added.
“Necessary measures will be taken to keep wheat and flour within the reach of common man. The Punjab government has procured record quantity of wheat,” the CM added.
The meeting was attended by Punjab Senior Minister for Food Abdul Aleem Khan, chief secretary, food secretary, CM’s coordination secretary, food director and Lahore’s deputy commissioner.
