Govt delegation meets Akhtar Mengal to resolve differences

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - After the separation of Balochistan National Party (BNP) Mengal from the federal government, the government delegation has reached to persuade Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

Sardar Akhtar Mengal, head of Balochistan National Party Mengal, in his address to the National Assembly on June 17, had announced his separation from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government alliance with the federal government.

After the separation from the federal government, preparations have been started to resolve differences with BNP’s Sardar Akhtar Mengal. The government delegation has led by Federal Minister for Defense Pervez Khattak while Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has also accompanied him.

According to sources, Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and Asad Umar have requested BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal to withdraw the decision.

Talking after the meeting, Federal Minister for Defense Pervez Khattak said that our meetings were held regularly, BNP Mengal s reservations will be removed soon, and there will be meetings with Sardar Mengal in future also.

Talking on the occasion, Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that he could not violate the decision of the party and I have put party’s concerns before the government delegation. Prime Minister Imran Khan has not yet made any direct contact, he added.

On the occasion, the Federal Minister for Planning said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believes that if every part of Pakistan does not get development and rights, the country will not be able to develop.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani had meet with Sardar Akhtar Mengal at the parliament lodges two days ago and offered his role in resolving differences with the government.
