Politicians express condolences over Tariq Aziz's death

Tariq Aziz passed away at the age of 84.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – As Pakistani veteran film actor, television show host and former Member National Assembly Tariq Aziz passed away on Wednesday at the age of 84, politicians expressed condolences over the sad demise.
President Dr Arif Alvi expressed profound grief and termed Tariq Aziz “an institution in his field.” The President offered condolence to the family of Tariq Aziz and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter and wrote, “Saddened to learn of the passing of Tariq Aziz, an icon in his time and a pioneer of our TV game shows. My condolences and prayers go to his family.”

— Imran Khan (@ImranKhanPTI) June 17, 2020Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif tweeted, “Tariq Aziz – an artist who loved literature and hosted popular program Neelam Ghar – proved his skills and abilities at every platform of radio and television. Pakistan was part of his faith and he was the identity and voice of the country. May Allah Almighty bless him and raise his ranks.”
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz, while expressing deep sorrow, said Tariq Aziz was a literary personality with artistic abilities.
He said, “Tariq Aziz made his program a source of education and training for the people. He will live forever in the hearts of the people.”
Shibli Faraz prayed to Almighty Allah for the rest of the departed soul in eternal peace and grant of courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar condoled with the family of Tariq Aziz. He said, “The deceased introduced new dimensions to the art of comparing and his unique style became his claim to fame. He took the program Neelam Ghar to peak.”
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan expressed grief over the demise of Tariq Aziz and condoled with his family. Tariq Aziz had an all-round personality, he said.
Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said Tariq Aziz introduced the new generation to our culture and literature through his program Neelam Ghar and affirmed that his services for the country will never be forgotten.
