ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Keeping in mind the current surge in the coronavirus cases, the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Wednesday has directed the postponement of all scheduled and unscheduled examinations across the country, Dunya News reported.
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has informed all the provincial governments about the decision. Federal education secretary issued directives to all provinces including Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) for the implementation of the orders.
It is pertinent to mention here that some schools and seminaries have made a request for holding exams in June and July with assurance of following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
However, the education secretary said time is ‘not ripe for exams’. The federal government has written letter to the federating units for ensuring implementation of decision.
