Slander against Benazir Bhutto: Court summons Cynthia Dawn Ritchie

Cynthia Dawn Ritchie leveled serious allegations against Pakistan Peoples Party leadership.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A local court in Islamabad has summoned US national, residing in Pakistan, Cynthia Dawn Ritchie who leveled serious allegations against Pakistan Peoples Party leadership including former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani heard a petition, lodged by PPP Islamabad President Shakeel Abbasi to file case against Cynthia Ritchie, as a duty judge.

The plaintiff took the stance that the US woman slandered Benazir Bhutto through baseless allegations and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) opposed to file a case against Cynthia Dawn Ritchie.
The FIA counsel argued that it should be determined whether the claimant is an affected party or not. Judge Ata Rabbani remarked that it is the court’s duty to determine that.

The court summoned reply from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and issued notice to the US national to appear in person or send her lawyer in the next hearing. The case was adjourned till June 13.
